A Guide to Our Racecards

Card

Above is an example of our standard racecard, taken from a contest at Happy Valley on 15th April 2020.

Here we can see that the top rated selection, The Runner, had been running solid figures consistently, and topped the field on recent ratings. However, his handicap mark was 13lb higher than the next rated, who had been running similar speed figures. The top rated was sent off 5/2 favourite, but the 2nd rated was sent off 66/1.

The result: 1st SKY TREASURE at 66/1; 2nd THE RUNNER at 5/2; 3rd OVERSUBSCRIBED at 10/1

Above is an example of our standard horse form, taken from a contest at Happy Valley on 15th April 2020. Here we can see that this runner ran to a mark of 61 two starts back, showing he was very well handicapped if he could repeat. He then disappointed next time out, but we can see from the comments he was found to be lame. We could therefore be confident that if he returned to form, he would have a lot in hand.

The result: The runner won at odds of 2/1.
